 Squee! My recent entry about terrible lyrics made me think of the song "Fantasy Dream" for the first time in ages, and I found myself with it stuck in my head for a large part of today. It's a horribly catchy tune, even if it does drop keys all over the place, but is slightly annoying as well. To make its repetition more bearable, I changed a couple of notes in the tune and suddenly it sounded a whole lot better while remaining just as catchy. This led onto ideas for a new structure, and eventually I decided...

I'm going to remake it. Instead of "I Think Too Much" to test out the new software, I'm going to completely remake "Fantasy Dream" (including the title, because it's so tacky). The changes are going to be significant, but I'll probably keep some of the not-quite-as-bad-as-the-rest lyrics, and the general tune. Will also need to find a way to sort out the key change problem, but I have a good feeling about this one. I tried out the bass line on the keyboard just now, and it sounds fantastic with an octave effect, even better than I'd expected. Hopefully I'll be able to get started tomorrow or Sunday.
